Coaching Narratives

Playing in a Broader Field

A Coachee, who was keen to create a career path within her multinational employer, had allowed work to absorb all of her life’s focus.  Prior to coaching she had experienced periods of anxiety.

At the outset of coaching she had found it difficult to engage in work without recurrent experiences of stress.  The result was lowered efficiency, motivation and work relationship quality, further weakening her situation.

Coaching centred on
recognising, observing and developing strategies to manage thinking and emotional responses;
further extending communication skills;
developing a clearer understanding of what she valued from career and personal life;
translating her understanding into an action plan, for greater engagement in a motivated and fulfilling life.

The Coachee felt that she had “blossomed” with coaching, having completely changed her way of thinking, and created for herself a ‘life more lived’.
